Hi learner, welcome to the Vibe Code Lab!
Are you here to learn programming? Well, we’re not teaching that.
Here we’ll be teaching software engineering skills relevant for vibe coding, a.k.a. writing code, building apps, and websites with A.I. tools such as Claude Code or GPT Codex.
Who am I? I’m a developer with over 8 years of experience. I went through the entire computer science pipeline and worked at several Fortune 500 companies, including some hedge funds. Now I’m building apps and teaching others how to do so.
In this course we won’t be teaching you any of the computer science fundamentals such as algorithms or data structures, or other boring concepts such as Linux or priority queues. I won’t even teach a programming language. The point of this course is to teach you what you need to know for coding with A.I., which skips all the bullshit.
Have a look at the curriculum:

- Using the terminal
- Prompting
- Reading and reviewing AI output
- Apps vs. APIs vs. frontend
- Authentication
- Preventing and recovering from mistakes
- Local vs. production

- Essential security knowledge
- CI/CD
- Monitoring, including performance
- Dependency updates and security patches
- Alerting
- Logging
- Product analytics
- HTTP basics — status codes and REST methods
- Software design principles relevant for vibe coding, including CDNs
- Context engineering
- Debugging (how to describe bugs to the AI)
- Automated testing (why it is needed)
- The problem with vibe coding — and how to avoid falling victim
- Saving costs — API usage bills, token costs and free-tier limits
